Restaurants in Bangalore every traveller must visit

I was in Bangalore a couple of days back. The city has its own vibe. Food, weather and the hospitality of the people is just great. Traffic? Naaah, worse than Bombay! I dined at few restaurants in Bangalore and since I was there for only two days I couldn’t explore many fine dining restaurants. However, after asking a couple of friends about their favourite places in Bangalore, I’ve compiled a short list!

  1. Toit

What is it famous for? Brewing the best beers in town. It’s a must visit Pub if you are in Bangalore and has good Italian, American food to offer!

Must Order? Tintin Toit, Chicken Piccata, Margherita Pizza, Crispy Chicken Wings, Toit Baked Nachos

  1. The Biere Club

Where? 20/2, Vittal Mallya Road,Lavelle Road Area, Bangalore

What is it famous for? Being the first micro-brewery in South India.

Must Order? They offer excellent Mediterranean food. You must try the Meatballs Tossed In Hot Tomato Salsa, The Biere Club Plank Pizza

What is it famous for? Mouth watering burgers!

Must Order?  Classic Stuffed Chicken Steak, All American Cheese Burger, Double Lamb burger and Ferrero Rocher Shake are the must haves

What is it famous for? White interiors, serving one of a kind European dishes

Must order? Chicken Wings, Baked Yogurt and Phily Cheese Cake.  Chilli Cobbler, Basa and Salmon

What is it famous for?  One of a kind ice cream sundaes

Must order? Death by Chocolate

What is it famous for? Decades old, iconic restaurant for South Indian Treats and their Benne Masala Dosa!

Must order? The Kesari Bath, Masala Dosa

What is it famous for? Desserts

Must order? Tiramisu, Jamaican Farewell, Coffee Kick, Spanish Delight

What is it famous for?  It’s a club known for it’s amazing live music and serves good Finger Food.

Must Order? People have told me that their Pepper Chicken is a must try!

  1. Shivaji military hotel in Shivajinagar is famous for Donne biryani and a must visit. It’s not a posh restaurant sort but the biryani served there will also make a vegetarian lick their fingers.

  2. Aiyeeeee this made me miss Bangalore! However, here are a few more you must try next time – Nandos (peri peri) chicken, ghee rice and chicken roast from Imperial, Millers46 for their steaks, Hyderabad House, South Indian thali from Nandhini and Nagarjuna, MTR restaurant for their south indian spread, Meghana Biriyani and those midnight food joints in Shivaji Nagar! Phew, I’m drooling!
